The three shops are located along Anderson Road, across the lane from Mun Tin. Shun Hee used to be known as Suet San Coffee Shop, while Yobu Book Store and Chuen Chun are still going strong. I am glad these shops have withstood the test of time and have survived to this day. The lane was also a very popular haven for street food like "Pak Koh Yee Mai Soi", "Hoong Tau Sar", Fried Noodles and Kuay Teow Soup. I wonder if these stalls have relocated to hawker centers or food courts. Kayes, I also noticed that you "missed the boat" in trying Nam Kew's famous Mah Cheh curry mee. I am sure you will be able to hit the spot one of these days. In many ways, I do envy you because you seem to be passing through Ipoh quite often and you have every opportunity to feast on your favorite hawker food.
