I have to tip my hat off to you for your amazing familiarity with KL. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. Although I used to work and live there between '79 and '87, I'm utterly and hopelessly lost in the KL of today.Took me a minute or two to place the name but I now remember Wisma Central. I used to take a bus that stopped across the road from it. In fact, I landed my first job in KL (working for Chase Manhattan Bank at Jalan Gereja) through an employment agency located on the 2nd or 3rd floor of Wisma Central. It was quite a dingy, off-white/greyish and blue building at the time, as I recall. However, come lunch time hundreds of people would pour out onto the street (Jalan Ampang) queueing around the many hawker stalls by the side of the building. I can remember the Indian curries, rojak, mee rebus, pisang goreng and cendol still.
Whoa, that sure brought back *some* memories for me. Thanks again. :)
Cheers from Melbourne, Australia
