Speaking of Wisma Central being built by MCA, after I finished my stint at CMB, I worked for an OCBC's subsidiary at Wisma MCIS (next to then Hotel Jayapuri, now known as PJ Hilton) along the then Fed Highway. Unfortunately, I was robbed at knife-point one evening while walking home from work. I was so severely traumatised I quit my job soon after and went back to Ipoh for a year during which I ended up working at Greenfern Coffeehouse.

Thanks for the colourful bowling yarns. The only bowling I ever did was way back in '76-'77 at the Federal Bowl behind Greenfern Coffeehouse where our friend Andrew Thong sang for his supper. Sadly, my regular bowling mate was killed in a car crash in '77. I never picked up another bowling ball since.

You do lead a very charmed life, Kayes. By comparison, mine was tough as nails. ;)
