A few months ago, the Penang State Government approached me to request my permission to use my photos which I put up at Penang Talk and also at Penang Page. The photos are to be used only at their new tourism website and other tourism promotion material. Solely for the sake of Penang, I agreed. The global recession will see less tourists in Penang but if my photos can help save a bad day, I am happy. (Pic above shows the "credits page" of the state's website. I was told I am put on top of the list because most of the pics they use are from my websites).

Kayes, you are very generous to allow the Penang Tourism Board to use your pics and we are really glad they are recognised for their fine quality. Congratulations.

Blue Grass, I think we Ipoh people are more "tai fhong" than many others. I read from the papers that the new Penang State Government is promoting tourism with a shoestring budget. If this is true, I am glad to help out but as I said before, I gave them permission to use my photos solely for the sake of Penang.

Kayes, I think the Penang Tourist Promotion Authorities made a very wise move to use your photos. Your pics are more than comparable to those that are published in glossy tourist magazines and brochures. Your passion for photography shows and and the quality of those shots speaks volumes about the pride you have for the island paradise you call home. Kudos to you and you deserve a pat on the back for doing your share to promote tourism in Penang.

Hi Kayes, I agree with Ken and Blue grass that your pics are more than comparable to those in tourist mags and brochures. Keep up the good work. We in Ipohtalk are real lucky to have a guy like you and we get the best shots. Your pics speak a thousand words.

Kayes... I seen a lot of photographs for brochures and I must say you out do most of them. Only being in Malaysia for 3 weeks every two years they really do keep me in touch with change and also allow a certain amount of reminisence! Keep up the good work!
