This is the back entrace facing DBI (Dewan Bandaraya Ipoh)and also the garden. Use to hang out with friends here. Eventhough the school is not as big as other St or Convent Schools but had a touch of it's self. Many fond memories in this school.

Back in the 50s and 60s, there were quite a few nuns staying at the Convent. It would have been nice if they could have planted grapes there and bottled their own wine. They could have named it either the 'Blue Nun' or 'White Nun'.

Jim, I think your GPS reading is way off here Smile Pics above show the Main Convent as seen from the Syuen Hotel .... Jalan Abdul Jalil I think. Could you be thinking of the SMI .... St Michael's Institution?

Hi Jim, my sense of direction is worst! I need someone to wait for me at the entrance of the housing estate whenever I go to my aunt's house. Smile!

Susan, you need a GPS if your car does not already have one. Gets you right to the front door of your aunt's house or back door if you wish. I would recommend a Garmin.

Hellooooooo!! I don't enter people's house through back door - why should I when I can enter through the front door! Smile Moreover, my aunt's house's back garden is joined with her neighbour back garden. No road and no cars can enter. Good for security!! Smile!

An email from Katherine (lowkatherine@gmail.com)

" I graduated from Main Convent Ipoh in the year 1980. Since then, career and family has taken me away from Ipoh. Lately, I started to be active facebook member and tracing long lost friends has been bitter and sweet. Age makes me forgetful and it's sad to know I forgot many names. I suppose most of friends in my era are not internet savvy, thus looking for teachers without knowing their fullnames are futile....

Went to Ipoh recently, and ate Taugeh chicken and the famous Tau Fu Fah....noted Fusan restaurant has moved....eh? "
