Hi Joe,
Thanks to the super El Nino, we only had snow once this December. These warm ocean currents heat up the atmospheric temps from the Pacific coast to the upper mid-West. As a result, we are enjoying a warmer than normal winter so far. Nevertheless, traditionalists are lamenting about the lack of snow this year. Instead of white, we had a wet Christmas. Snow plow operators and ski resorts are crying foul that Nature has given them a raw deal. Hopefully, snowfall will also be comparatively light in January and February.
