Last Friday, I had to go to Taiping to run an errand and while in Taiping I thought it was a pretty good idea to take that short drive to Ipoh so that Ethan could take a look at the real trains since we don't have a railway station on Penang Island. Therefore on Saturday afternoon we proceeded to Ipoh and this time we booked an apartment at the Kinta Riverfront Hotel so that there was more space for Ethan to run around. The apartment cost RM280 nett and it has two rooms (two baths) and a dry kitchen. Wifi was strong and free. There was a 40in TV in the living room and a 36in in the master bedroom. Another plus point was that all the 5 air cons in the apartment could be individually controlled.

The river looks better now than during my last trip.

Our apartment has a good view of the administrative offices of Ipoh but I love those hills best.

The piano in the lobby. Ethan can be excused as he can't read the warning notice yet.

RM280.00 for a two-room apartment with 5 air-cons ..... it is definitely a promotional rate!

The reflections on the clean river are excellently captured. "Sayangi Sungai Kita!"

To me, those colourfully illuminated lights along the the banks of Kinta River look similar to those in i-City, Shah Alam ..... Smile
