Used to walk on the narrow lane beside this church for school activities on Saturdays. The lane was so narrow that I had to walk on the side of the lane most of the time. Whenever I heard (if waited till the car could be seen, it was always too late) any car was coming, I had to stop to allow the car to pass through. It was not much of a hustle because Saturday traffic before 8a.m. was not heavy and I used this lane one way - to school only. After SATURDAY school activities, this narrow lane was not used to return home ..... And nobody HERE is supposed to know! He he he

Jalan Yang Kalsom remains as Jalan Yang Kalsom.

hi Orange, I also used to often walk along that lane in the 80s. My hair stylist at that time was Johnny and he owned the Bob Unisex Salon at Jalan Yang Kalsom, on the left of pic. Getting a parking space along Jalan Yang Kalsom during peak hours was like striking lottery and so I used to park along that road that runs parallel to Jalan Yang Kalsom (can't remember name of road) and walk through that narrow lane to get to Johnny's place. I survived!

Kayes, it's okay if the weather is fine when we can't park in front of our regular hair salon. But when the sky decides to rain or drizzle, that nice hairdo that takes an hour or so to do would be definitely ruined!
