The Mammaks are fast in catching in! That's why they are the top winners in coffee shops in KL now. Many coffee shops fear them. If you want Chinese food, they have it; if you want western, no problems - sizzling beef steak, chicken chop; continental breakfast set; burger or hot dogs..... you name it, they have it. Whenever there are football live tele, just pop over to any mammak shops, their big screens attract crowds like bees to honey!!

You're right Susan. These mamak shops sell anything under the sun and during the weekends, these places will be full with football fans watching the EPL.
I have my preferences chere taste is concerned because the food served at certain outlets taste better than the others so when I'm in Ipoh, KL or Penang, I only go to certain outlets. For breakfast, I could live on roti canan for the rest of my life.

Joe, where exactly is Sunway City? The shop houses looked very new and swanky. Is it a new suburb in Ipoh that was developed after I left? The place looks very cool, with so many interesting and colorful shops. How are the restaurants there? Are they any good?

Ken, Sunway City is just after Tambun very near to the Tambun Hot Springs. It is a new suburb with a hypermarket. There are a few eateries there but I think they are just ok lah.

Ken, like Joe said, it is a few minutes after Tambun town shown in pic below. I am sure you can recognise this cowboy town Smile It is on the way to Tanjong Rambutan.

The first pic is Tambun Town's main street. Been there several times to buy pameloes at very reasonable price and fresh too.

I wonder if you plant a beanstalk, will it grow tall enough to reach the top of the mountain like the fairy tale 'Jack and the Beanstalk'.
The Giant hypermarket here in Sunway serves the majority of folks living in and around the vicinity right up to Tambun and Bercham. There are some road improvements from the junction of Tiger Lane right up to Tg. Rambutan so its an easier drive there.
