As the rising sun awakes from its peaceful slumber
Its warm glow rousing us from our nightly stupor
Reflecting its brilliant rays in the morning calm
Exuding an aura of tranquility that's such a charm

The mighty sun warms my life
Each day of the year I see it rise
And when sunset closes the day
Tomorrow will go which way

The newborn sun with its wondrous glow
Casting soft rays on the sea in a single row
This heralds a new day for all to hope
That today will bring good news for us to cope

I think? I recognise,in the top right of your picture,Pulau Tikus.I fished there once and caught some of the biggest rocks no man has ever landed, which was just as well because my Wife would not have cleaned them.

hi Jim, that is not Pulau Tikus, which is on the left and not seen in pic. That bit of land you are referring to is actually part of the Tanjong Tokong reclaimed land. You can see it better in this pic.

Cheers Kayes,Pinangs coastline is certainly changeing.Myself and a couple of mates had shares in a boat that we used to moor at the Springtide Hotel and we would,on our days off, take it out and cruise the coast and fish, a very nice area I recollect was the other side of the Muka Head Lighthouse,a very nice secluded beach on the odd occassion frequented by Dolphins, that was a sight to behold and quite a close encounter

I know I have moaned that Penang seems to have all the lovely sunrises but I must say that the sunrise over Ipoh this morning was quite comparable. There was a soft golden glow above the tree tops, roof and distant hills while the rest of the sky was still a dark greyish-blue. It was really beautiful. Wish I could have taken a pic to show you Kayes but I wouldn't have done it justice.

Kayes, I'm sure everyone will agree with me about your beautiful pics. As in the words/lyrics of Tina Turner:
"You're simply the best,
Better than all the rest,
Better than anyone,
Anyone I've ever met" Smile

Blue Grass, you are right! It's not easy to run the talk forums so successfully. I appreciate very much the time and effort Kayes has put in. Time - the amount of time he needs due to the different time zones. Effort - waking up at the odd hours of the morning and travels the distances to get awesome pictures for us to share. Well done Kayes! I always admire Kayes's high level of intelligence and energies. At the same time, I respect Kayes's professionalism in protecting our personal particulars and informations - I have never received any junk mails so far. Thank you very much Kayes! May these everlasting successes be with you forever and ever!!
